Cinderedge
This game is played with a pen & paper, a standard deck of playing cards, and two 6-sided dice. There is no experience needed. Whether this is your first role-playing game or you're a TTRPG veteran, you'll burn just the same.
FAQ
Yes. The game is designed for mature players who want to explore difficult emotions in a structured, safe environment. Content warnings include mental illness, derealization, dissociation, death and dying, body horror, memory loss, self-harm, suicidal ideation, violence against animals, addiction, and substance abuse.
The game is usually over in an average of 26 prompts, you could do a "run" in about 4-6 hours, but if you are sketching, mapmaking, scrapbooking, or doing a significant amount of writing it can take 4-5x that. I also include some alternative rules for longer playthroughs.
A journal, pen, set of playing cards, and 2d6 (Two standard six-sided dice) are ideal. You only NEED the book though, as there is room to write in the margins, a character sheet, number/card randomizers, and such in the appendices.
